Ingredients:
Dough
3 C flour
2 Tsp. salt
1 stick soft butter or margarine
1/2 C warm water
Meat Filling
1 onion, minced
1 lb. lean ground beef, chopped
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 C pine nuts
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg, beaten
2 C olive oil for frying
salt and pepper to taste

1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 C pine nuts

1. In the mixing box, mix flour and salt together.
2. Cream butter or margarine using an electric mixer, slowly adding flour and salt mixture and then the warm water.
3. Knead dough into a ball.
4. Allow dough to rest.
5. Preheat oven to 400ยบ F.
6. Heat 2 tbsp. olive oil in skillet and saute onions until translucent.
7. Add meat and brown. Turn off burner.
8. Sprinkle nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, salt and pepper on the meat and stir.
9. Mix pine nuts into the meat.
10. Break off pieces of dough (1/8") and shape each into a small 3" flat rounds.
11. Place 1 tsp. meat mixture into the center of each round.
12. Fold in half and seal edges tightly (use egg whites or water if needed) and place on ungreased baking sheets.
13. Bake until golden brown (15 to 20 minutes)
