Tools You Will Need:
heavy-duty large frying skillet with cover
colander
garlic press
tsp. measure
tbsp. measure
Ingredients:
1 whole cut up chicken
1 onion, thickly sliced
2 garlic cloves, pressed
3 C flour for dredging
½ tsp. turmeric
 ½ tsp. coriander
½ tsp. freshly ground pepper
salt to taste
olive oil for frying -- enough to almost cover chicken pieces

Directions:
1. Bring pot of water to a boil.

2. Add chicken, onions, garlic, coriander, turmeric, pepper and salt.

3. Lower heat and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.

4. Carefully remove chicken from pot and drain in colander.

5. When cool enough, dredge chicken pieces in flour.

6. Heat olive oil in pan.

7. Fry chicken until golden brown or when meat is no longer pink, turning as needed.
Best Served With: Israeli Rice and Zucchini
